If you are turning on Xbox for the first time that day, even if it has been fully closed down the night B4 and it’s essentially starting from a hard reset you will still get the Phantom controller. If you have not opened Fifa directly B4 hard reset then the phantom controller will be there. This hard reset "fix" only works if you’ve recently had Fifa 21 open and then hard reset. If I close the game & open it again then it will reappear! This is not the case.Ħ: I have stumbled upon a temporary fix where I hard reset my Xbox & if I load up Fifa 21 straight away, making sure I do nothing else B4 I do this then the phantom controller will not be there. Seems nobody has offered a permanent fix & all being told by yourselves it is an issue either with the customs controller or set up. Fifa 21 controls Pc#I’ve seen many PlayStation & PC owners on "Answers.ea.com" as well as other forums also baffled by this bizarre "Phantom controller". Controller 1 on the team selection is a phantom or ghost controller.Ĥ: If you go into customise and then to profile you will see your profile is assigned to controller 2! You have no option to remove this phantom controller.ĥ: This isn’t only an issue with Xbox series X. I have no other controller assigned to my Gamertag or profile. I have no other controller plugged in or on. Controller 1 is not assigned to any profile. I didn’t have the issue on Xbox one version but from 1st day I tried it on Xbox series X it occurs every time you load the game.ġ: When you go into any game mode and enter the select team section, controller 1(Red) is positioned in the middle of the teams.Ģ: Your signed in profile is assigned to controller 2 (Blue) which you can move freely to whichever side.ģ: You can not remove or move controller 1. It is all controllers that is affected both wired & wireless, even though you only have one controller plugged or signed in. I have same issue and unlike the chap above
